E-221: Real Reality

Random Vegas
Regardless of how you feel about Donald Trump, he is the first U.S. president to have owned a casino (@vitalvegas)

Twitpic of the week

A euphoria unlike any you have felt before fueled by neon, possibility and opportunity washes over you.  Your senses are heightened to awareness levels reaching near superhuman levels, making it pretty hard to ignore that your shoes are kind of sticking to the ground a little.  Familiar surroundings look somehow enhanced and never has overwhelming felt so comforting.  It’s a feeling those that love Vegas are all too familiar with and in most cases, addicted to like your own personal designer drug. @Arivetinglife reminds us this week that, unlike heroin, your Vegas addition doesn’t leave track marks, so enjoy.

E-219: Recreational Us

Random Vegas
In the early days of Vegas, entertainers would have themselves paged over the casino intercom for the free publicity (@vitalVegas)

Twitpic of the week

It just goes to show that no matter how much things change, they kind of stay the same.  The constant pissing contest has existed in Las Vegas since the first alluring marquee was erected.  It might have been more impressive back in the day considering the steel and sheer number of light bulbs required to Manze your neighbor.

Considering Vegas evolved during a time when men ruled industry and it’s development, the penis envy syndrome makes perfect sense but it makes one wonder.  As equality continues to improve and the glass ceiling that have held women back for so long continues to rise higher to is eventual destruction, how will the female desire to own 8 million pairs for black heals and natural dislike for each other manifest itself in architecture and signage.  We look forward to an irrational future that doesn’t want you to fix problems but empathies with them.  This random babble is brought to you by @vgbrandco and their picture of classic Horseshoe signage on display at the Neon Boneyard.
