Twitpic of the week

This week’s winner comes to us via @HeidiHayesLV for a picture of something that is unfortunately more common in Vegas than it should be, kids standing on the sidelines while adults are having fun.  The photo is a picture of two kids, off to the left, in the shadows, looking outside of Stratosphere’s observation tower, watching someone jump off.  The view of the strip in the background is awesome.  The photo with the kids in it is sad.  In the past, I’ve defended families bringing their kids to Vegas but let me be clear.  Only if it is truly a family vacation in which the family is enjoying the various offerings available at resorts that specifically caters to families.  Ideally, the only place adults should run into kids in Vegas would be in restaurants, certain shows, the pool, the arcade & and on the street, at reasonable hours, on their way to the next family oriented attraction.  While I’m sure the photo wasn’t intended to showcase this or even showcase that this is happening, that is what the photo reminds me of.
